  • The Amazing Acro-Cats are part of Rock Cats Rescue, Inc, a 501c3 non-profit. Our group of rescued house cats (yes real cats!) tour the nation, entertaining audiences while educating the public on positive reinforcement training techniques and feline enrichment.

    We are seeking dedicated tour assistants to travel with us on our custom 45' tour bus, taking care of the cats and putting on shows in 100 to 500 seat theaters.

    This is "seasonal" work. The Amazing Acro-Cats travel an average of 28 weeks a year. Tours range from 3 to 12 weeks. We are based in Georgia, but tour assistants can live anywhere with access to a MAJOR airport.

    Primary Duties:

    ○ Daily care, including feeding and administering medications to cats, and extensive cleaning.

    ○ Aiding with kitten care when traveling with fosters that need frequent bottle feeding.

    ○ Assist in load in and load out of heavy props for stage performance, and merchandise sales.

    ○ Stage work during the live performance includes assisting cats to perform their tricks, moving props, pantomiming, crowd work, and some lines.

    ○ Coordinating and training volunteers.

    ○ Cooking treats for the cats.

    ○ Merchandise sales, box office, and front of house operations before and after the performances.

    Required Qualifications:

    ○ Experience with cat care and/or animal training, ideally in a veterinary clinic or rescue/shelter environment.

    ○ Experience being on stage in front of a large audience, highly desirable.

    ○ Excellent customer service skills and experience with merchandise sales.

    ○ Strong organizational abilities with a high comfort level operating in a fast paced and constantly changing environment.

    ○ Friendly demeanor and ability to live in VERY close quarters.

    ○ Must love adventure and travel across the country.

    ○ Valid driver’s license, ability to drive a small SUV, and ability to drive at night required.

    ○ Must be able to lift over 50lbs.
